Ms. Lisa Lebiecki
Lisa Lebiecki joined AISB in 2007 as a 4th grade teacher. Lisa was born in the United States and considers Massachusetts and Vermont as her home states. Lisa has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Westfield College and an Ed.M. from Smith College. Lisa is enjoying her 31st year of teaching. In addition to the U.S. and Hungary, she has taught in international schools in Venezuela, Tanzania, Brazil, El Salvador, and Ethiopia.
Ms. Frederique Houillon
Frederique has two nationalities, French and Australian. She grew up in France then moved to Australia where she completed her education. Frederique's first teaching position working in an Aboriginal community in the Australian outback. She moved to China in 2004 and then on to Hong Kong where she taught Grade 4. The next move was to Portugal where she spent seven years with her daughter, Adeline. Frederique is a dedicated yogi and has recently discovered the countless benefits of mindfulness. Portugal has further developed her love for the outdoor, especially hiking.
Mrs. Kim Porter
Ms. Kimberly Porter is beginning her 22nd year of teaching and 10th year at AISB. She has taught grades 1, 3, 4, 5 and 7 throughout her career and has held leadership positions, including head of science, head of math, and instructional team leader. Originally from Alaska, Ms. Porter has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Master of Science Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Oregon universities. Ms. Porter has lived and taught in the USA, China, Kenya, and now Hungary. Ms. Porter loves to learn alongside her students and create a positive learning environment. In her free time, Ms. Porter enjoys outdoor activities, reading and her newest hobby, gardening.
Ms. Bernadett Brázda
Bernadett was born in Budapest, Hungary and she got her Master’s degree in Teaching History and English as a Second Language in 2015. During her university studies she spent time in the United States where she studied English literature. Before joining AISB in 2017, she worked at a Hungarian-Croatian school where she taught students from the age of 9-18. She has always wanted to work in an international environment therefore she is thrilled to be at AISB. From 2019 she is also the instructional lead in grade 4.
Mr. Robert Connell
Robert is an alumnus of the AISB community who returned to the community after completing his masters degree in Carbon Management. In 2015, after he graduated from AISB, he attended university in Edinburgh to study International Business Management and Languages. While studying there, he discovered his passion for working in climate action, and formed a society, which directly tackled university emissions. With this experience, and graduating top of his year group, he attended his masters degree and continues to work on climate action at AISB while also working as an assistant teacher in grade 4.
Mr. Csaba Koppány Békési
Csaba was born in Hungary, is Hungarian, but speaks English better. He graduated from AISB in 2015 where he focused on the humanities, then he studied and worked with software for a while, and is now retaking some exams to get some science education. He is interested in the ways to live a meaningful life, the power of meditation, exercise, a vegan diet and good sleep. In his free time he listens to music and rolls polyhedral dice. He is incredibly grateful to be at AISB for another year.
Mrs. Jennifer Gelinas
Jennifer has been teacher for 13 years throughout Florida, Maryland, Vietnam, and Hungary. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and EAL, a master’s in The Differentiated Classroom, and is currently getting a second masters in Curriculum Development and Supervision. She works with both grade 4 and 5 EAL and is the EAL Elementary lead. She and her husband love traveling, hiking, diving, and paddle boarding.
Mr. Pablo Ramirez
Pablo Ramirez joined AISB in 2012 as the Elementary School Learning Resource teacher. Pablo is an American who received his B.A. in Special Education and Elementary Education and his M.A. in Special Education from the University of West Florida, Pensacola. In addition to the degrees awarded, Pablo also has endorsements as a Reading Specialist and an EAL teacher. Pablo has worked for ten years as a classroom teacher in the United States, Germany and Portugal.
